On the Tiegemberg you will find villa Maene Min, the country residence of artist Firmin Colardyn (1896-1977). Firmin Colardyn (1894-1977) known in Tiegem as the mysterious man with the gray hair in a black cape, showed a special talent for drawing and painting at a young age. In 1933 he had Maene Min build. He painted many winter landscapes, but also many gloomy or melancholy characters, probably under the influence of his timid, timid attitude. In 1952-53 he painted the Stations of the Cross for the modern St. Rita Church in Harelbeke. His works have been praised by many well-known critics. Perhaps not so well known to the Tiegemnaren, but a fantastic artist.
A little further on the Tiegemberg you will find the Bergmolen, the Belvédère on the Meuleberg, but unfortunately they are privately owned and not easy to see and also the Huis ten Berghe, an artist's house with studio built in 1908 on behalf of Vital Moreels for painter Valerius de Saedeleer, who stayed in the villa from 1908 to 1914.
