Description

Where there is now a restaurant there was an advanced dressing post during the war. As the dead and wounded were brought further away from the front, care was assigned and specially selected on the basis of who could go further. Those who died in these places were also buried there, many graves are located where the wounded were cared for. Since the front remained here throughout the war, the Belgian casualties were brought further.

These posts were also the stations for the ambulances. These were often horse ambulances; the Belgian army even used dog carriages.
