So-called "Kasteeltje", former home of composer Paul Gilson (1865-1942), an important figure in the national music world who won the Prize of Rome in 1889 with his cantata "Sinai". He stayed there until 1882. At his celebration in 1937, a bronze plaque was placed on the façade of the parental home, designed by Tiberius (Molenbeek-Saint-Jean) and cast by Pol Van Kemenade. Originally, the property that was registered in the Land Registry was in 1867, surrounded by a large garden and accessible via a lane in the Kerkstraat; the façade on the Jan Ruusbroekstraat was the rear façade.
