In the trees you can (especially in winter) clearly see the bird glue or mistletoe bulbs. We have apparently always found this parasite to be a mysterious plant. You can deduce that from the numerous mythological names we have given this plant: devil's grass, devil's nest, witch's nest, cherry wood, gluewort, matte weed, mistle, mistletoe, awl, raamsch, snake tongue, viscus, bird glue,... This plant is known as witch's cun. A witchwort is a plant that, according to tradition, has been used extensively by so-called witches and herbal women because of a certain effect.
