Water brings life!
Observe nature here: alders, reeds and (pollard) willows give this place a picturesque character. A slate canal supplies water and seepage water bubbles up in the alder forest nearby. Frogs, toads and salamanders prefer such a humid habitat. In the cultural landscape, amphibians live mainly in cattle pools and ditches. On the gently sloping bank, where solar heat penetrates to the bottom, ideal living conditions for larvae and insects are created.
