Description

This war memorial was erected in memory of the B17 bomber that crashed in Snellegem on 1 December 1943. The 89-year-old American Bruce Sundlun was the pilot when the vehicle crashed along the Zomerweg in Jabbeke. Many tourists still come to visit this war memorial today to commemorate this terrible event.
