Setting out from Samford village, head north along Mount Samson Road towards Dayboro. Within just a few kilometres, the town is behind you and out of sight as the road pushes onwards through Samsonvale and into the surrounding fields used by local agriculture. Within 10 kilometres, the traffic volume has eased making this quiet road great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city although it does increase on a weekend with tourist traffic.
